After reading the article "Feed the World" there are three "indicators" that the index looks at to rate countries. The three indicators are the proportion of children under five who are underweight, and the child mortality rate. Countries get graded in theses three factors 100 being the worst. Countries that are growing and developing have a smaller change of child death because they have access to better care. In order for people to have a good quality of life and a level of development they need certain factors. They need good living conditions to be able to thrive properly. A decent home and education is needed so that they can provide for their families and protect them. Also they need food and a stable environment. The income you get from you jobs is important to help you afford all of this especially when compared to underdeveloped poor countries.
